The Cottage Garden is a design service specializing in the creation of small or grand perennial gardens, suited to fit your particular dreams and desires. I also design herb gardens featuring old fashioned or antique heirloom roses.
An on-site consultation to learn what you might want is the first step toward creating your garden. After an initial evaluation you can expect to receive a detailed plan of your garden, showing placement etc., and a booklet that deals specifically with the plants going into your garden. Each plant will be listed individually, plant requirements and attributes are stated, as are things you will need to know for successfully maintaining your garden. Anecdotal and historical information is also included for your enjoyment.
I have 15 years "hands-on" experience in planning, planting, growing and maintaining perennials and herbs. Also, nursery experience where I have served in the position of perennial horticultural expert, as well as assisting landscape architects in the design and installation of small perennial beds.
I will do all I can to assist you in bringing your dreams to fruition. You can choose to be as sedate or as wild as you like however, if I feel something will not work, I will advise you of this. Together we can work to fine-tune and revise, to fully realize your garden desires.
