Martha's Vineyard is seven miles off the coast of Cape Cod and is only twenty-one miles across and nine miles wide. Open sand to clay cliffs vary the scene with great diversity in the towns adherence to a rich New England heritage. History abounds and the views and quality of life are superb.
Nantucket Island is 28 miles south of Cape Cod. Year-round ferry service delivers passengers and autos in about 2 hours. Nantucket has been unrivaled as a summer resort, retaining the captains' mansions and seafaring quaintness of its past. Winding lanes, weathered cottages, picturesque gardens and uncrowded beaches provide the setting for a perfect vacation.
